10 years fitness industry experience has really defined John as a coach who gets the most out of his work when he knows that clients are getting the most out of their training. His style is laid-back, and he has a genuine interest in helping beginners and intermediates get 'better' at fitness. A lot of John’s clients have never exercised in a gym before, and one of the best parts of his role is altering the misconception of what having a personal trainer is meant be like.
He is interested in finding what types of exercise you enjoy the most. Fitness shouldn't be something that you dread and one of the most rewarding things for John is working with clients to a point where not only do they look forward to training sessions, but they feel that both their mental and physical health has improved as a result. This is what makes TWN a perfect complement to Health Optimising.
John helps clients to focus on how they perform, rather than how they look. He wants to help you realise what your body can do, acknowledge any limitations, and help you find a way to exercise that is both challenging and enjoyable.
Like all TWN trainers, John will always put together a programme recognising that each client is an individual. That means that having a thorough understanding of what makes his clients tick is paramount to him providing the best training sessions that he can, but it also means that he builds trusting and lasting relationships.
John’s own training focuses on Olympic lifting which he sees as an incredible sport that is complex and requires a wide range of skills, both physical and psychological.
