Bowen is a holistic remedial body technique that consists of a series of moves across the muscles, tendons and other soft tissues of the body aiming to restore structural integrity and to encourage parasympathetic stimulation. The therapist uses her forefingers or thumbs on anatomical points, applying relatively gentle pressure with rolling-type move designed to stimulate nerve pathways which allow a ‘conversation’ to take place between different nervous systems of the body.

Bowen with Lumi features Tripudio Movement which focuses on the fluid systems of the body, including the lymphatic system and the cardiovascular system. Tripudio is the Latin word for “Dancealso translatable as “Leap with Joy” aiming to uplift patients who report improved wellbeing as well as increased range of movement and overall health and fitness. Principles from MLD massage are combined with connective tissue release techniques and translated into movements. Tripudio stretches focus on releasing tension, connective and scar tissue, all of which are thought to inhibit lymphatic health.
